We machined a new bottom journal pin and socket hinge for this Grade I listed church, and used them to repair the gate so that it would open and close correctly.

We made and installed this smart, functional gate that can be opened from the inside only.

Having carried out other projects for the church, they naturally asked us if we could repair the lock on their side gate. We found the lock mechanism for the latch was no longer working and the fire exit push bar was one usually used for internal – not external – doors. With the agreement of the church, we therefore replaced the lock with the appropriate quick exit lock shown here.

We made packer plates for the closer, welded them to the gate and adjacent railings, then secured the new gate closer to them – leaving the gate closer working perfectly.

We made and installed this gate for the church so unauthorised people wouldn’t be able to use the entrance designated for groups such as pre-school children.

We made and installed a ladder extension, ladder protection cover and railings with a gate around the roof hatch above the top of the ladder, so that it provided safe access onto the roof and protection around the hatch.

We made and installed these gates and railngs for the Friends of Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens.

VAUXHALL PLEASURE GARDENS IN THE 18TH CENTURY:

We carried out extensive repairs to the railings and gates of this famous church, leaving them in red oxide primer ready for final decoration by others.

When one of the gates, and its gate column, were damaged by a vehicle, the owners asked us to repair it. We removed the gate leaf, took it to our workshop, carefully repaired it, and then returned and re-installed it, leaving it in perfect condition.
