We carried out the inspections for the Maintenance Manager of the luxury hotel golf resort and spa, The Grove, and provided him with thorough reports and certificates confirming they were all structurally sound.

Having carried out a number of projects before for this major power plant, they naturally turned to us when they wanted a new C-shaped platform installed with a cat ladder to access it.

We provided the drawings, constructed the platform and cat ladder, and installed them within a few days.

We made and installed a ladder extension, ladder protection cover and railings with a gate around the roof hatch above the top of the ladder, so that it provided safe access onto the roof and protection around the hatch.

THE AIR HANDLING UNIT THAT NEEDED TO BE ACCESSED

We replaced an old wooded ladder with this bespoke metal one.

We were asked to make and install galvanised walkways, handrails and cat ladders above Cote restaurant so that it would be easier to reach and maintain the air conditioning units they had on the roof. We made them in component form, carried them up to the roof and assembled and secured them between the units.

Imagine having to carry the components for this through the hatch of a restaurant’s disabled toilet then up onto the roof. That’s what we had to do here, before we installed them.

Good thing our guys are supple! Then, as we’d spotted a cut rail, we informed the client and got the go ahead to mend that too. We always aim to do things as perfectly as we can.
